Description

PugsterPinker has full-sized rich pink flowers on a compact dwarf butterfly bush. Dense foliage and good branching result in a full, lush display of candy coloured, fragrant repeat blooming flowers all summer long. Thanks to thick, study stems, the Pugster™ series offers vastly improved hardiness and winter survival over other types of dwarf butterfly bush.

Buddleja davidii ‘SMNBDB’ (PBR) Pugster Pinker has been granted Plant Breeder Rights (PBR) status as indicated by the (PBR) symbol.

Unauthorised commercial propagation or any sale, conditioning, export, import or stocking of propagating material of this variety is an infringement under the Plant Breeder’s Rights Act 1994

Uses

With its dwarf habit and very large flowers, the Pugster series of Buddleja are a sun-loving plant that provides lots of colour and fragrance. Ideal for perennial gardens, mixed borders and containers.  They also make a neat and showy edging/border.

Care

Buddleja Pugster is an easy-care shrub that performs best in full sun and good drainage is essential. Prune only after new growth emerges in Spring and cut back to just above a set of large, healthy buds.

Deadheading isn't necessary for continuous bloom.  Dig the hole wider than pot and as deep, up to 1m in spacing.  Carefully remove plant from pot, place in hole and backfill.  Water well and apply mulch, keeping away from the centre of the plant.  In clay soils, plant a bit higher than ground level to divert moisture away from the centre of the plant.

Story

Pugster Series brought to us by breeding program Proven Winners® Spring Meadow, Michigan USA, Trialed & Tested for your success.

Fun fact:  The name “Pugster” comes from these plants’ resemblance to a pug – short, stocky and cute!
