Description

‘Aromagica Purple’ offers a fresh take on this classic plant, staying full and vibrant all season with large, fragrant deep purple blooms amongst dark green textured foliage. It attracts bees, butterflies, birds, especially with occasional deadheading, and shows its richest colour in high light conditions.

Uses

Perfect for containers, landscapes, and mass plantings, this plant shines in patio pots and window boxes where its fragrant, rich deep purple blooms will attract pollinators all season long.

Adding this fragrant vibrant plant in your garden for mass planting or as a border, ‘Aromagica Purple’ mounded growth habit can reach a maximum height 75cm and can spread up to 50cm.

The cheerful blooms and richly textured oval shaped foliage are great for fresh-cut flower arrangements indoors.

Care

Include a healthy dose of your preferred controlled release fertiliser when planting into either garden beds or containers. In colder regions, this initial feed for a garden planting should suffice for the season, but if planting in warmer regions or in containers anywhere, additional feeding of every two to three months of either your controlled release or water-soluble fertiliser will help maintain vigour and new growth. Keep moist but well-drained, particularly in containers, and avoid watering the foliage.

If the habit or form of ‘Aromagica Purple’ begins to look a bit open or tired, an overall trim of no more than one quarter of the entire plant will invigorate new branching and flowering. Taking the fresh-cut flower indoors to enjoy will help when sacrificing those blooms for the good of the plant, which will quickly recover within weeks.

Ingesting Heliotropes can be harmful to humans and animals.

Caution:  Harmful if eaten

Wear gloves & wash hands after gardening.
